Busting Down the Door (NaPoWriMo Day 4)

Wooden Door
Busting Down the Door
By, Donna M. Monnig

Bust it down
the door standing between you
and accomplishing success.

Let nothing, nothing
discourage you from reaching upward
for the moon.

Falling is okay,
the stars will catch you,
so jump – now!

Nothing is free;
risk comes before the reward,
so take it.

If you wait
the loss could be more
than the risk.

Bust it down
the door standing between you
and your success.

Today’s NaPoWriMo challenge was to write a lune (a 3 line stanza comprised of 3 words the first line, 5 words the second line, then 3 words again: 3-5-3). Happy Writing!!!

What a fantastically motivational poem. It’s impressive that you were able to achieve this within the confines of the Lune form… I found it a challenge although I only wrote one verse!

    • Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I’m so glad you liked it! It is a challenge to write poems when under the confines of a certain form, but it can also be interesting to see what we can create. I’m sure yours is great as well!

      God Bless,
      Donna
