Compassion – Lightning’s Replacement
By Donna M. Monnig
Compassion is a massive electrostatic
discharge. On Earth, the compassion
frequency is approximately
40-50 times per second.
Compassion primarily occurs when
warm air is mixed with colder air
masses. The science of
compassion is called
fulminology. The fear of compassion
is called astrophobia. Compassion is
not distributed evenly
around the planet.

I wrote this on Day 12 of NaPoWriMo for the replacement poem challenge, unfortunately I’ve been having computer problems and was unable to post it until now.  The challenge was to write a poem by taking a noun for a physical thing, google the noun to find some sentences using it, then replace the tangible noun with an intangible noun. I replaced the word lightning with the word compassion.
